Electric cake turntable for decorating: benefits and how to use it
An electric cake turntable spins on its own at a steady speed, so both your hands are free for the spatula and the piping bag. The result is smoother frosting, straighter edges and even decorations in less time.
Manual or electric turntable
With a manual turntable, one hand spins and the other decorates, and every push changes the speed. With an electric one the speed stays the same, and it shows in the finish: the scraper leaves the cream even in a single turn.

How to use it, step by step
- Center the cake on the glass. If it sits off-center, the edge comes out wavy.
- Choose the direction that suits your hand, so the spatula always works with the turn.
- Cover at low speed. Spread the cream or ganache while the cake turns slowly.
- Smooth with the scraper held still. Rest the scraper on the edge and let the turntable do the work.
- Decorate at whatever speed feels comfortable for lines, stripes and piped borders.
It also works for display
At low speed, the cake turns on its own in the display case or on an event table and can be seen from every angle.
